Jai Savion Hill was a beloved son and member of the central Ohio soccer community. Besides family and friends, Jai’s one true love was playing soccer. At age three, when others could barely kick the ball in the right direction, Jai’s skill and intensity were immediately on display. From age five on, Jai played on recreation, school and club teams.
He wore various jerseys from his high school, his club team, Tottenham, or Messi almost every day. Jai began playing with Club Ohio in 8th grade and lived for the competition. Like his favorite Premier League player, Son Heung-min, he played the position of left wing. Even though he was not the best technical player, his athleticism and drive to win made him a force on the field. Never one to shy away from competition, Jai loved to play the best of the best. He played the position of left wing on both the varsity high school team and his club team, Club Ohio. He was known, by teammates and opponents, for his speed and scored numerous goals throughout his playing career.
Jai’s off the field passion was food. An avid chef, Jai’s best dish was any sort of pasta with a cream based (likely unhealthy) sauce. Never a culinary snob, many of his dishes included ramen noodles. A budding foodie, Jai tremendously enjoyed trying new foods and eating his favorites.
